Alliance for Literacy
The mission of the Alliance is “to increase the literacy rate in our area by promoting education for adults in basic skills, reading, English as a Second Language, and GED preparation, as well as aiding other organizations and individuals in their efforts to promote literacy.” We are committed to breaking the cycle of family illiteracy in our community and believe that the greatest gift you can give a child is a parent who can read!
Center Point
Center Point was established in 1967 by four local churches to provide release-time education classes to public school students. Since then, the Center has expanded its services to include counseling, life skills education, and mentoring. Center Point partners with schools and community organizations to inspire growth, support well-being, and empower brighter futures. We envision a community where all students and families have the educational and mental health resources they need to be successful. www.centerpointga.org
