Dancing for a Cause Raises More Than $200,000
Katie Nordholz and Michael Callahan earned top honors at the fourth annual Dancing for a Cause.
Nordholz and her professional partner Efrain Davila Jr.’s tap routine won the Community Star with perfect three 10s.
Michael Callahan, who danced with professional Amanda Watkins, won the Mirror Ball trophy which is determined by a combination of votes, money raised and dance score.
This year’s event raised more than $200,000 for Alliance for Literacy, Center Point and Rape Response. There were 428 guests in attendance at the Chattahoochee Country Club.
This year’s judges were Sam Couvillon (last year’s Community Star), Brooke Kalinauskas (last year’s Mirror Ball winner), and Nettie Hatchett, a professional dancer and choreographer.
Alliance for Literacy, Center Point and Rape Response thanks the dancers and everyone who contributed for making this year’s Dancing for a Cause such a success. Next year’s Dancing for a Cause will be held in late August. In the coming weeks the community will be able to nominate dancers for next year’s event on the website dancehallcounty.com.
