Carla Walker

I was born and raised in Gainesville and graduated from Gainesville High School before leaving home to earn dual undergraduate degrees from the University of Georgia and a Juris Doctorate from Roger Williams University School of Law.  During that time, I was a National Collegiate Scholar at UGA, a UGA Dance Dawg, the President of the Student Bar Association, and a member of the law school’s Moot Court Board.  While away at school, I met my husband, Spencer, and after graduation, we returned to Gainesville to focus on career and family.  After working and honing my skills in real estate and business, I shifted into the world of real estate development, providing counsel for medical, commercial, multi-family and residential developers through my firm, IHS Law, LLC.  I enjoy the depth of involvement and ongoing relationships that this work requires and have recently joined Scotty Ball and Jenifir Dimo and together, we formed Walker, Ball & Dimo, LLC.  When not at the office, I enjoy spending time with my family on our North Hall horse farm.  I sit on the executive board of the Gainesville-Northeastern Bar Association, serve on the Quinlan board of trustees and am excited to dance and compete in this year’s Dancing for a Cause.
