Gainesville, Georgia has been dear to my heart for many years.  Having been born here in 1946 makes me the oldest dancer to grace the DFC dance floor!  For that reason, it is my desire to show all the young whippersnappers that age is only a number! I will knock your socks off with my moves on the dance floor for causes that benefit young and old alike…Rape Response, Center Point and Alliance for Literacy.  For more than 20 years, my volunteer work was with the Adult Learning Center, forerunner to the Literacy Alliance where I served as President. My career was teaching children in elementary school at Fair Street, Lakeview Academy and Lanier.  This prepared me for my marriage to John who blessed me with his large family…five children, then thirteen grandchildren and now twenty great-grandchildren at last count! My move from Amelia Island back to Lanier Village Estates in Gainesville has given me the opportunity to support causes to benefit this great community.  As a widow, I am learning how to navigate this chapter of my life, so with the help of many, let’s get together and show our fellow citizens how to support outstanding causes.
