Nairika Cornett

Born in Bombay, India, Nairika came to Gainesville in 1993 for her undergraduate studies and to awaken the latent Southern girl in her (she loves all things pickled and BBQ). She is an art passionista, devotee of face-to-face conversations, travel enthusiast, empowering women’s advocate who is aging with perfection and looking forward to being the troublemaker at the nursing home. Until then, she is an overbearing tiger-mom (shout out to her Asian roots) to two rascals who rule her world, wife to the one and only who is willing to put up with her daily, and a friend to most. She is dancing and competing because, in all seriousness, she adores this community and wants to return the love it has given her. Her motto is Go Big or Go Home!
